During a phone chat with Pope Francis on Thursday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy stated that he addressed the peace formula that Ukraine has developed.

“We discussed our joint work to put Ukraine’s Peace Formula into action,” Zelenskiy wrote in a post on X, formerly Twitter.

At the level of their representatives, more than eighty nations are already participating in this process. He continued, saying, “And there will be more of them.”

While expressing his gratitude to Francis for his Christmas greetings, Zelenskiy also expressed his appreciation for Francis’s hopes for a just peace for all humanity.

Zelenskiy has stated that the next meeting to discuss the peace formula for Ukraine will take place in Davos, Switzerland; however, he has not provided a specific date for this meeting.

The Pope has dispatched a special envoy, the Italian Cardinal Matteo Zuppi, to Kyiv, Moscow, Washington, and Beijing to bring about peace in Ukraine.

The Pope issued a message on Christmas Day in which he called for an end to many hostilities, including the violence that is taking place in Ukraine. In November, he reiterated his appeals for a stop to the violence that has been occurring in Ukraine and the Middle East. He stated that “peace is possible” and that “we must not resign ourselves.”

In October, Zelenskiy said that he had invited Francis to visit Kyiv. In May, the leader of Ukraine had a secret meeting with the Pope at the Vatican.
