Trump is on Vacation With Your Money

The Bridge Project, associated with the Democratic super PAC American Bridge, will take trolling to new heights this weekend, as it is commissioning a plane to drag an aerial banner along the beaches of the New Jersey Shore this Saturday in order to direct attention to the cost of the Presidents trip to his nearby golf resort.

This aerial banner will read, “TRUMP IS ON VACATION WITH YOUR $$”. It will be flown across the length of nearly the entire shore, which will most likely be flooded with weekend beach goers. The banner will direct onlookers to the group’s website, TrumpEconomy.com, a website that tracks the current President’s vacation and contrasts them with negative statistics regarding our economy.

Trump is supposed to spend this upcoming weekend at his resort in Bed Minster, New Jersey. This is one of the many golf properties that the president has spent the majority of his weekends since he took office in January.

The current President’s many golf-outings and the cost on taxpayers associated with these frequent outings have become the subject of much controversy recently. It has been estimated that Trump’s costs are significantly higher than those of his predecessors. This is surprising considering that Trump was highly critical of previous President Obama for golfing too often. There have also been ethical concerns raised regarding the President’s watchdogs, considering that the cost of protecting and transporting these dogs goes to Trump owned properties.

Harrell Kirstein, a spokesperson for the Bridge Project says,”Trump’s vacations are lining his own pockets but costing taxpayers millions of dollars,” and that “We’re exposing Trump’s self-serving scheme and making sure taxpayers know exactly how much Trump’s dysfunctional presidency is costing them.”
