The Indian Navy will deploy guided-missile destroyer ships after striking off its coast. In response to the attack that was carried out on a commercial vessel that was linked with Israel off the coast of India over the weekend, the Indian navy has decided to deploy guided-missile destroyer ships in the Arabian Sea as a deterrent.

According to a military statement, the initial evidence suggested that a drone was responsible for the attack on the MV Chem Pluto, which arrived in Mumbai on Monday. The navy was investigating the nature of the incident.

“Further forensic and technical analysis will be required to establish the vector of attack, including the type and amount of explosive used,” according to the press release.

According to statements made by India’s Minister of Defense on Tuesday, the country is dedicated to ensuring that sea channels in the Indian Ocean remain safe and secure for maritime traffic.

Throughout the entirety of the Indian Ocean area, India serves as a source of comprehensive network security. Within the commissioning ceremony of another guided missile destroyer ship in Mumbai, Rajnath Singh said: “We will make certain that maritime trade in this region rises from the depths of the ocean to the heights of the sky.”

Singh stated that the administration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi had taken the drone assault on the MV Chem Pluto and a previous attack on the commercial crude oil transport MV Sai Baba, both of which occurred in the Red Sea, extremely seriously.

“The Indian Navy has doubled the amount of time it spends monitoring the oceans. We are going to find out who is responsible for this attack, and we are going to take severe punishment against them,” he stated.

On Monday, Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs deemed the United States’ claim that Iran had attacked the ship close to India to be “baseless.”

“A drone launched from Iran struck the MV Chem Pluto in the Indian Ocean,” the Pentagon announced on Saturday. “The incident occurred in the Indian Ocean.” When a task team under the direction of the United States attempted to address comparable issues in the Red Sea, a strike took place.

“Considering the recent spate of attacks in the Arabian Sea, the Indian Navy has deployed guided missile destroyers, INS Mormugao, INS Kochi, and INS Kolkata… in various areas to maintain a deterrent presence,” according to the navy’s announcement. Twenty-one Indians and one Vietnamese national were among the vessel crew members.
