Tesla Models S, X unavailable in some Asia-Pacific countries, website shows

On Sunday, Tesla’s website stated that Australia, Thailand, Singapore, and New Zealand could not order Model S or Model X.

The website listed Model 3 and Model Y as available in these countries.

Why these models were unavailable was unclear. Tesla did not comment.

Elon Musk’s electric vehicle producer delivered record numbers in the January-March quarter, but Model X and Model S deliveries fell 38%.

As electric-vehicle makers compete globally, Tesla has aggressively cut prices for some of its models this year to boost demand.

Musk’s attempt to boost sales by decreasing prices has investors worried about margins.
