Russia’s Lavrov says Kremlin drone incident was ‘hostile act’
On Friday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called Wednesday’s drone incident at the Kremlin a “hostile act” and promised “concrete actions”.
Russia has accused Ukraine and the US of shooting drones towards the Kremlin to kill President Vladimir Putin. The White House calls Russian “lies” and Ukraine denies it.
“It was clearly a hostile act, it is clear that the Kyiv terrorists could not have committed it without the knowledge of their masters,” Lavrov told a press conference in India.
“We won’t talk about ‘casus belli’ or not, we’ll act,” he said.
An action that justifies war is called “casus belli” in Latin. Moscow still calls its assault in Ukraine a “special military operation” after 15 months.
