“If the United States strike us, we should strike back,” this was a statement released by North Korean Ambassador to Britain Hyun Hak Bong who told Sky News that they are ready if they needed.

While the Ambassador assured that they do not want a war, he wanted to make sure it was clear that they do in fact have nuclear missiles in their arsenal if needed, and stated that they do not, “want war, but we are not afraid of war.”

It appears that the North Korean government and military is on strong defense and has expectations that some sort of attack will take place within their country.

“We are prepared, That is why I say if a sparkle of a fire is made on the Korean peninsula, it will lead to a nuclear war,” stated the Ambassador who wanted to reassure the magazine and the United States that when they make a threat or claim that it is true, “We don’t say empty words. We mean what we mean. It is not the United States that has a monopoly on nuclear weapons strikes,” he said.

While the ambassador has made these claims, it has also been reported that North Korea has only conducted three nuclear missile tests, and it is uncertain how those tests concluded. Could it be that they are just issuing this warning because they in fact do not have the weapons they claim to have? They could just potentially be trying to either buy themselves more time to developed such weapons, or they could be trying to avoid the subject of nuclear war all together because they do not have the same resources that America has, and they know that they would be seriously outnumbered and affected by nuclear war.
