North Korea Shocks No One, Supports Trump
Presidential candidate Donald Trump has been spewing rhetoric since day one of his campaign. He has covered topics ranging from building a wall between the U.S. and Mexico to his radical ideas on U.S. foreign policy. His support for a policy focused on America and pulling out of other nations has garnered support from typical U.S. foes, such as Russia’s Vladimir Putin and now, of course, the nation of North Korea. Having the United States back out of Asia would give this country much more flexibility in the area.
Just this week, North Korea has spoken out about their support for Republican Nominee Donald Trump in his quest for presidency. A state sponsored North Korean website wrote about him in a very positive light that essentially gave him their endorsement. The publication, DPRK Today, described Trump as “a wise politician and prescient presidential candidate.” Not exactly the crowd you want an endorsement from.
The writer gave Trump’s policies excellent reviews despite acknowledging that he has some very radical ideas. He specifically praised Trump’s policy idea of taking U.S. troops out of South Korea, something North Korea has been pushing America to do for years. North Korea has been advocating their “Yankee go home” policy, one that they believe would help unite North and South Korea. Trump’s stance could be the driving force the North Koreans need to back this policy. However, if America does pull out of the area, it will relinquish United States influence in parts of Asia and hand it over to other powers, such as North Korea and China.
The article further went on to urge Americans not to vote for probable Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton but to vote instead for Donald Trump, who they likened to Dennis Rodman, the NBA star who is praised by DPRK Leader Kim Jong Un and has visited North Korea on several occasions. Businessman Donald Trump is not only taking America by storm during this presidential election but is also influencing much of the world in his tracks. It is interesting that the Donald has struggled gaining full support from his own party, yet the world’s most powerful dictators have not hesitated to endorse him. A glimpse of the future?
