The special counsel Robert S. Mueller III released his list of questions to Mr. Trump on Tuesday, covering from Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election to his businesses and personal relations.

Robert S. Mueller III, the special counsel in charge of the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election, has released the questions he will be asking President Trump regarding his relationship with Russia.

The queries are meant to seek transparency in the thinking and logic of President Trump, hoping to dissect his outspoken Twitter posts and often fickle decision-making process. Mr. Mueller has been delving closely into Trump’s firings of the F.B.I. director and his first national security adviser, his conflict with Attorney General Jeff Sessions and the meeting held between campaign officials and Russians regarding Hillary Clinton.

This investigation, however, is more expansive than anticipated as the questions also touch upon the president’s businesses, as well as his personal relations, including one with his son-in-law, Jared Kushner and Roger J. Stone Jr., an adviser of him who supposedly held information regarding the Democratic emails.

Regarding these questions, Mr. Trump has dismissed them as “disgraceful” via Twitter on Tuesday and even accused the special counsel of collusion.

This investigation officially launched a year ago, looking into whether President Trump has overstepped his authority as president and obstructed justice and integrity. In fact, President Trump has attempted to fire Mueller himself in the past year, again adding suspicion to his integrity. In fact, as a response to this, Mr. Mueller is also investigating Mr. Trump’s attitudes on the role of independent investigator.

Since the inauguration of Mr. Trump, the White House has been one of chaos and disruptance, with controversy and scandal with the campaign and the frequent exodus of white house aides. To counter the crisis, his lawyers have reached out to the special counsel explaining about the president’s behaviors, hoping to alleviate the tension between President Trump and Mr. Mueller.

This issued written explanation from the lawyers, however, failed to convince Mr. Mueller of Mr. Trump’s integrity and insisted on a more thorough query. He stated clearly his intention of speaking directly with Mr. Trump to determine his intent.

There are growing wariness from the White House and many of Trump’s advisers and lawyers. The pressure of the investigation is building up quickly, and four people have already confessed and pleaded guilty for lying to the investigators regarding information about Russia and its interference in the election of 2016.

It is unsure how this query will unravel, as Mr. Mueller’s attitude seems very firm against Mr. Trump. A Justice Department legal finding disclosed that presidents, while in office, cannot be charged with crime. This was reciprocated by Mr. Mueller, as he commented that he is not intending to charge Mr. Trump, but rather just putting him under scrutiny and investigating his behaviors as a president.
