Milwaukee Woman and Unborn Child Murdered

On March 5, tragedy struck in Milwaukee. A woman, Tamecca Perry was brutally killed only days before the due date of her unborn child.

Supposedly, Perry’s neighbor was annoyed with the loud volume of music coming from her home. The neighbor’s daughter, Shanika S. Minor, went over to pick a fight over this and an alleged quarrel of disrespect. The argument escalated until Minor pulled out a firearm and shot Perry in front of her two children. She and her unborn child were both killed.

Minor, 24, has not been seen since the Milwaukee attack where she was charged with two counts of first-degree intentional homicide. One count was for Perry, and the other was for her unborn child.

This past Tuesday, Minor was added to the FBI’s 10 Most Wanted Fugitives list. A bounty of $100,000 was placed on her head. An FBI agent from the Milwaukee Division, Robert Shields, publicly scolded Minor in saying that “the brutal murder of a mother and her unborn child is reprehensible … the FBI will provide all of our available resources to assist the Milwaukee Police Department in locating and apprehending this violent fugitive.”

According to eyewitness accounts, Minor’s mother dove into the altercation and begged her daughter to stop and let it go. She tried to reason with her daughter, and implored her not to hurt Perry and her child. “Witnesses said Minor reached over her mother’s shoulder and fired her gun, striking the woman in the chest,” said the FBI in a press release.

Perry’s community has been struggling. “[Minor] took a cousin. She took a mother. She took an aunt. She took a niece. She took all of that from us and all over some music … I don’t care what it was over. A pregnant person didn’t deserve that, and now we have to deal with the fact that she’s gone,” said Perry’s cousin, Dana Freeman, to WITI.

The FBI has marked Minor down as a woman who is “armed and extremely dangerous.” She brutally murdered someone she knew, a face she saw every day, the entity next door. Even Perry’s mother has spoken out and begged Minor to turn herself in. “I just want her caught so I can rest. I don’t sleep. I don’t eat. I really want to know the reason why she would pull a gun out and do what she did to my daughter.”

As if her family wasn’t suffering enough, heartache attacked a month later when Perry’s little brother was shot and killed in a fight. Deshaun Freeman died on the scene.
