The first lady has indeed brought a touch of style to the White House. Michelle Obama is already known for her stylish choices when it comes to her wardrobe, but she has taken her good taste a step further and refurbished the State Dining room of the White House.

This particular room was last renovated in the year 1998 when the house was occupied by President Bill Clinton. As of now, the room has ornate new drapes, exquisite furniture, soft new rugs and a few opulent embellishments.

The renovation cost about $590,000 which was financed by the White House Endowment Trust. This is a private trust that is managed by the White House Historical Association that helps maintain the White House and its rooms, especially the rooms that are open for public viewing.

Areas like the East, Red, Blue and Green room are the ones that are open for public viewing. One of them is also the State Dining room; therefore, tourists are able to view the work of the first lady.

Certainly, the visitors will have the wonderful opportunity to view the grand rooms in the White House.
