Michael Grimm is a former marine agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and he has just been reelected to his third term for congress as a representative from Staten Island. While Michael may sound like the ideal American, he may be facing some issues as he is being charged with tax evasion.

Michael, who was charged with twenty different cases of tax evasion after a detailed investigation was done upon him when there was questioning behind the funding of his 2010 election. Michael plans to plead guilty to the one charge, which will prove that he helped aided and assisted a fraudulent tax return.

The main question is if Michael Grimm is a former marine agent for the FBI and he is also a third time elected congressman, why would he ever think that he could be able to get away with tax fraud if he knew how intensive the FBI and the government is at spotting such cases. According to the reports he was documenting his funding from his restaurant, Healthalicious, which he co-owns. Maybe he figured he knew the ins and outs and could get away with it, a mistake that will cost his political perspective dearly. No matter what if Michael pleads guilty to even one charge then he may decide to resign from congress. Although he is not going to be forced to resign from his position, he will have to go through various ethic committees, but he is not being forced out of office. He may also be subject to serious jail time.
