Mccain Warns Obama on Israel

John McCain and Barack Obama are back at it again. The two 2008 presidential rivals are squaring off again in 2015, this time over the nation of Israel. Sen. John McCain believes Obama isn’t able to get past his own personal views of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. What McCain is basically accusing Obama of is sabotaging based on his own personal feelings.

McCain said “It’s time that we work together with our Israeli friends and try to stem this tide of ISIS and Iranian movement throughout the region, which is threatening the very fabric of the region.” McCain also said in a statement with CNN regarding Palestine and whether or not Obama should sign a resolution calling for a 2 state solution “Of course he shouldn’t be considering it. And, second of all, if he does that, then and it would be approved by the U.N., then the United States Congress would have to examine our funding for the United Nations,”

Many accuse Senator McCain of still being bitter about the 2008 presidential election. However McCain says he is just looking out for america’s best foreign policy interest. McCain has long been a strong ally of Israel, and a strong supporter of newly elected Israeli Prime Minister Benjami Netanyahu. Mccain has criticized Obama’s lack of a relationship with The Israeli Prime Minister for some time.

It is no secret that Barack Obama and Benjamin Netanyahu have not had the best relationship. Many Democrats did not attend Netanyahu’s speech to Congress a couple of weeks ago, while all republicans went. It will be interesting to see where this relationship heads in Obama’s final year and a half in office.
