According to Palestinian doctors and local media outlets, Israeli forces murdered at least eight Palestinians in the occupied West Bank on Tuesday. Seven of the Palestinians were killed in skirmishes during a raid in the town of Tulkarm, which is located close to the border with Israel.

The Israeli army and police reported that their forces, which had been dispatched into Tulkarm to apprehend suspected terrorists, came under fire and that their forces killed many Palestinian gunmen in the subsequent combat.

The Israeli army and police released a statement claiming that an Israeli air strike targeted a group of Palestinians who had fired shots and thrown a device at the group. According to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, the hit from the air was conducted by a drone, and it resulted in the deaths of three people.

There was no report of any Israeli injuries, and no Palestinian armed group said that they had suffered any losses as a result of the event.

According to medical officials, Israeli gunfire took the life of an eighth Palestinian on Tuesday in Beit Aynoun, which is located to the north of the city of Hebron in the southern part of the West Bank.

Israel has been increasing the severity of its strikes on armed groups in the West Bank as it continues its fight against Hamas and Islamic Jihad in the Gaza Strip. The Gaza Strip is another territory in which Palestinians hope to build an independent state.

Anger over the fighting has grown in the West Bank as well as in many other parts of the Arab world, and there has been an increase in the number of requests for a ceasefire in Gaza, which Hamas controls.
