Israel Responds to Palestine’s Explosive Kites With Missile Strikes

Published

on

Overnight Monday, Israel struck nine targets in northern Gaza in response to Palestine’s launching of explosive and  .kites

These dangerous kites are just some of a series of kites and balloons from Gaza that were intended to explode or start fires in southern Israel. The kites have been the cause of 400 fires and burned more than 6,000 acres of farmland. Causing over $2 million in damage the country is struggling to find peace among these non-playful kites. Firefighters claim that they are battling over 20 fires a day.

The kites are the result of a months-long protest movement along the fence separating Gaza and Israel, in which more than 120 Palestinians have been killed mercilessly. They have decided to respond in a manner akin to Israel, who has been using excessive force and violence against the protestors. We pray for Israel and Palestine, and hope for peace.
