Amir Saeid Iravani, Iran’s representative to the United Nations, claimed in a report that appeared in the semi-official Tasnim news agency on Tuesday that his country has not participated in any acts or assaults against American military personnel.

Following the outbreak of hostilities between Israel and the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas on October 7, the United States has placed the responsibility for a series of strikes in Middle Eastern waterways on the Houthi group, which is affiliated with Iran and is based in Yemen.

During a briefing with reporters on Monday, Jake Sullivan, the national security advisor for the United States, stated that the United States has “every reason to believe that these attacks, while they were launched by the Houthis in Yemen, are fully enabled by Iran.”

One of the most recent occurrences was three commercial vessels that were attacked on Sunday when they were in international waters in the southern region of the Red Sea. It has been confirmed that the Houthis have launched drone and missile assaults against what they have identified as two Israeli warships that were in the vicinity.

As it responded to distress calls from commercial boats on Sunday, the destroyer Carney of the United States Navy was able to shoot down three remote-controlled aircraft. The United States military stated that the three warships were related to fourteen countries.
