Hillary Rodham Clinton is running for President for the second time in her career in the 2016 election and this time, she might just have a winning campaign. The Former Secretary of State announced her Presidential candidacy Sunday night with a short video, entitled “Getting Started,” where she makes it quite clear that she is thinking about everyday Americans. The average families, the middle class, people putting their kids through school, those who are starting their own business, gay couples and now, showing her true everyday and normal colors, Clinton proves that she’s just like everyone else by stopping at a Chipotle in Maumee, Ohio on Monday.

With several secret service agents and Huma Abedin, Clinton’s vice chairwoman of her campaign, Clinton chowed down on a chicken burrito bowl, chicken salad, guacamole and a Blackberry Izze drink. Blending in, Clinton was wearing large, black sunglasses and a bright pink shirt. As this wasn’t intended to be a public affair, the press was not notified and Clinton went unrecognized to many of the patrons enjoying their meals as well as the staff behind the counter. Clinton was also said to have been holding her own tray, not allowing anyone to cater to her. Charles Wright, manager of the Maumee Chipotle, received a tip from a reporter about Clinton’s whereabouts at the restaurant and at first he just assumed that the rumors were false. Upon looking back at the security footage, he realized that the claims were true.

According to The New York Times, Wright stated, “That’s awesome that she was in here,” Mr. Wright stated after claiming that several sports players and comedian Kevin Hart had also made appearances. Clinton was in Ohio, kicking off her presidential campaign tour, on a countrywide road trip to earn America’s votes. She was also spotted at a gas station in Pennsylvania last Saturday where she was filling up her van in which she calls, “Scooby” based off the “Mystery Machine” from the children’s TV show, “Scooby Doo.” She took the time to take a photo with a family, which was posted on her Twitter feed.

With the “Everyday American” in mind, Clinton is off to a memorable start by showing the USA that she herself is indeed an everyday American. Many people just assume that because her job is important or that she is on TV, that she is some divine being like most Hollywood starlets. If Clinton wants to genuinely represent the average folk, then proving her “normalcy” as an everyday kind of gal is critical to her campaign. American’s want to feel like they are being heard, they want to believe in the person that is elected and they want to be assured that the person who is elected, knows what it feels like to be an average American.

If Clinton wins in 2016, she will make national history as Barak Obama did during his first term in 2008. Following in the footsteps of the first black President, Clinton is on the road to become the first female to hold office.

So far, Clinton is doing a fine job of ensuring Americans that she will make their problems her own for the 2016 elections.
