Donald Trump is Victorious; the 45th President Announced
The journey is finally complete; after an especially long and grueling election cycle, the smoke has cleared, and only one is left standing: Donald Trump.
These results that came in on Wednesday morning are shocking to many, citing issues with Trump’s past and choice of topics at speeches, but apparently, his words have resonated with far more Americans than they offended. The free world has spoken, and they have said, via a fair democratic voting process, that they want their next president to be Donald Trump.
Starting off as an underdog – both in the beginning of the elections as well as being behind in late polls, Trump surged on election day, taking the lead and never handing it back to Hillary Clinton. Trump can give thanks to battleground states such as Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania and North Carolina for his win.
It seems Hillary was not the Democrat candidate the people wanted, with voters pointing at her email scandal and the Benghazi incident as reasons for not giving their vote to Clinton. Trump was surprisingly kind in his winning words to Hillary Clinton: “a major debt of gratitude for her service to our country.”
Even though the elections are now done and over with, social media is still livid with the results, refusing to believe the results, and the hashtag notmypresident is even trending at the time of writing this article. In the wake of the elections, it will be interesting to see if Donald Trump changes his stances on immigration and the like.
Such a beautiful and important evening! The forgotten man and woman will never be forgotten again. We will all come together as never before

In the wake of the election, many are left awestruck and disappointed, including the stock market, but we will have to see what the future holds. For the near future, it looks to be a very republican dominated time, with republicans taking the majority of seats in both the House and the Senate.
