On Sunday, a fundraising committee supporting Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’s future presidential bid questioned Donald Trump’s loyalty to Republicans.

“Trump should fight Democrats, not lie about Governor DeSantis,” the ad said. “What happened to Donald Trump?”

In November, former president Trump announced his candidacy for the 2024 Republican nomination. Polls show him leading the field. DeSantis, anticipated to run, ranks second in surveys.

The Super PAC supporting DeSantis, Never Back Down, launched “Fight Democrats, not Republicans” online and on “Fox News Sunday.”

Trump’s New York legal troubles start the ad.

New York’s Democratic prosecutor blasted Trump. Why is he spending millions attacking Florida’s Republican governor?”

Trump denied 34 felony counts of falsifying company documents relating to a hush-money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels in Manhattan on April 4. The state attorney general’s $250 million business fraud case questioned him on Thursday.

American Great Again, Trump’s Super PAC has hit DeSantis in advertising.

Its Friday statement cited a Daily Beast claim that DeSantis ate chocolate pudding with his fingers on a journey from Tallahassee to Washington in 2019.

“DeSantis has his dirty fingers all over senior entitlements, like cutting Medicare, slashing Social Security, even raising our retirement age,” the ad added. “Tell Ron DeSantis to keep his pudding fingers off our money.”
